The Bachelorette Party

Ahh the bachelorette party. A time to throw caution to the wind and party like you have never partied before. Not all brides though want the feather pink boas and a plastic drink bottles in a "you know what" shape. Here is a list of great party ideas that aren't so typical:

1. SLUMBER PARTY

Remember the days of sleeping bags and chips, and staying up all night talking about boys? Do a throw back to your childhood and have a slumber party. Of course, make it adult friendly with marguaitas and other frilly drinks

2. SPA DAY

Nothing is better than being pampered. Take your closest gal pals and head to the nearest spa for a complete spa day. Indulge and relax, and make sure there are no boys aloud...unless they are cute and giving you the massage

3. HIRE A PSYCHIC

Go ahead...indulge in the dark side. Have a psychic come to your home to give you and you gal pals a friendly reading.

4. POLE DANCING PARTY

Hire a professional to teach you how to pole dancer. They can come right into your home, pole and all, and show you a move or two. What a way to benefit your butt for exercise, and your honey to be ;)

5. HAVE A TEA PARTY

Do it Alice and Wonderland style, and host a tea party with sumptious biscuits and sweet cups of tea.

6. COOKING CLASS

Check out your local grocery store to see if they have private cooking classes available for your party. Great food, great company, and a bonus if the chef is good looking.

Something Blue

So what happens when a wedding planner googles? A few inspirations :D I found this necklace, and I got inspired. Why do a traditional necklace with diamond earings etc...? Of couse that does look nice, but this necklace is just as fun. I also found this great little blue patterned purse, then I had to find the perfect wedding dress to match. This would be a perfect outfit for a casual springtime wedding.

Groomzilla

Beware everyone.... there is something out there in the wedding world, that is worse than an upset bride. Watch you back, and preceed with caution when you are dealing with a............GROOMZILLA.

Fortunately, I have only encountered a few groomzillas. Most men take on the "yes dear" role when it comes to planning a wedding. I always hear "whatever makes her happy". These types of grooms tend to know there place, or are smart enough not to get into the hassle of planning a wedding. But the few that are out there will kick and scream to get what they want, and have this bad habit of saying me, and not we!!!

So do you have a groomzilla on your hands? here is another great article on groomzilla's from the Globe and Mail.

If it is in the Globe and Mail....it must be true ;)
