We have some winter weddings sneaking up on us... and as I was doing some research, I stumbled upon these amazing inspirations that I thought I would share. I must say, I am so fortunate to be able to live through my Clients and help each and every one of them fulfill their Wedding Dreams.  If I was to get married again... Totally in LOVE with Art Deco

Its Sunday morning and I was checking out some of my fav sites... These styles are amazing in every sense, timeless actually.  The Art Deco era was FANTABULOUS. It has geo shapes, sparkle, luxurious colour {who doesn't love the combo of Black, Gold, Silver with pops of hot colour} It is the picture of elegance,in my opinion anyway. Enjoy the looks!

Stripes on Stripes on Stripes

Horizontal, vertical, thin, thick, coloured, monochromatic!!
I { HEART } all types of stripes.  Although we have been told not to wear stripes with other stripes, because it is too busy.  Seeing as fashion rules exist no longer, stripes on stripes is a tres fab trend.

The last photo is most { Fantabulous } with a staple Balenciaga Mortorcycle Bag! I'll take mine in orange please xoxo

DYI Ornament

Looking for a last minute gift?? Here is an easy DIY Ornament that you can put together within minutes.  Start by getting a clear plastic ball (I found them at Michaels and they are on sale!!).

Now it is time to find the accessories. I like peacock feathers, and you can attach them to the gold bauble a top of the ornament with a glue gun.  Gently put the bauble back on by carefully slipping the feather into the ornament.  Adorn the ornament with a beautiful satin ribbon to hang from the tree.

I also have a love affair with { glitter } .... If you are on a budget, head over to your nearest "dollarstore" for tubes of glitter (and if you have cents to share, then check out Martha Stewart's glitter collection which comes in a bajillion different colours).  Fill the ornament with the glitter about 1/4 full.  Find a jewel, and similar to the peacock feather, attach the jewel to the bauble.  Keep in mind....it needs to fit into the ornament.  Shake the ornament up to get the glitter moving around, and voila! {something beautiful}

Go on....get creative!

A Very Merry Gift Wrap

Once a planner, always a planner.....and that doesn`t exclude the Holidays.  Not only do I have all my shopping done, but it is wrapped.  I Used a beautiful blue and white polka dot wrapping paper (from Superstore), and I always wrap presents in boxes.  It always makes it look cleaner (stay tuned for a blog on wrapping the perfect gift).  I love to use satin ribbons, but I have a preference for a wired ribbon.  It helps the ribbon have volume when you place it in a bow.  I also included small silver Christmas ornaments in silver & glitter. I found a cute small package again at Superstore... yeah  { SUPERSTORE }

Add a vintage christmas tag to top off your modern chic gift wrapping, and voila...it's time for giving.

                         Thats a << wrap >> for me. Enjoy!

I Heart Baby

A friend of mine is having a baby in January (I can`t wait for the bouncing baby boy!!).  Not being the one to give just any ordinary wrapped gift, I wrapped the gift in silk and organza ribbon.  I got a beautiful and cuddly baby blanket, with a matching reindeer touque (both from Chapters).  Babies are { FUN }

Pink and Fun

I was just playing around with colours and storyboards, and here is for the punk at heart.  Hot pink, baby pink, black, and silver is a fun take on the wedding colour pallette.  Let out your edgy side, but still stay girly by encorporating hot pink gerbera daisies bouquets for girls with a soft pink rose bouquet for the bride.

Enjoy!

Sappy Videos

I am feeling sappy today, and this video just melted my heart.  Most of you have probably heard the song, but the beginning of the video just makes me smile.  I hope it makes you smile too.  Gentleman...if you are looking to propose, this would be a good song to learn.

Enjoy!!

With love

Lost Art of Handwritting

When was the last time you received a handwritten note?  Probably has been a long time. We are so used to texting, emails, and instant messaging, that we no longer indulge in writing a note to a special someone.  Handwriting is a lost art, and it should be revived!!!  Don't you remember writing notes to your friends, or receiving a love letter.  It may be "old school", but there is nothing like keeping that note in a book, only to re-read it years down the road.

To bring back this art, think about handwriting thank you notes for any occasion, or handwriting addresses on your invitation envelopes.

Feel free to write me a handwritten note....I would love it!

Enjoy!

Vintage Bouquet

It isn't set in stone that bouquets have to be all flowers.  Here is a beautiful bouquet done by none other, D.S. & Co., that encorporates fresh and artificial floral, an abundance of ribbon and feathers, and wrapped in the lace of a brides dress.  The colours reflect a true vintage bouquet.

A Burberry Wedding

I found this picture, and I feel completely inspired by this.  It is a great concept, and it would be absoultely timeless.  Burberry has been around since 1856, and its signature tartan is a staple to any wardrobe.  By using the signature colours, your wedding can be a classic.  To top off a great concept, give your bridesmaids an extraordinary gift of a Burberry Scarf, for a chilly October wedding.

Enjoy!

Cake or No Cake?

To have a cake, or not to have a cake? That is the newest question on the block when it comes to weddings.  As brides come in through the studio, we are noticing more and more brides aren’t putting as much emphasis on an enormous, multi-tiered cake, but are opting for something simple and more tasty.  These options fall into scrumptious cupcakes, or a lavish sweet bar.  We have clients that are opting for just deserts from the venue, which in my opinion are just as scrumptious!!!  What do you think?

Enjoy!
