A Christmas Tree Napkin

At our DIY in Miramichi on Sunday, one of the ladies had an amazing technique for folding a napkin like a christmas tree.  I fell in love with it, and I had to share it with everyone. Here is the DIY on the Christmas Tree Napkin.

Using a square napkin, fold twice to form a smaller square.

Fold up each layer of the napkin to the top, leaving one inch between each fold.

Flip the napkin over, but be sure to hold on to the folds so they do not fall out.

Bring the left and right sides together, neatly aligning the top of each panel to form a triangular space at the top of the napkin.

Flip over the napkin again.  Peel the top layer towards the top to form a peak.  Repeat for every layer, and tuck the tip underneath the fold above it.

And now you have a Christmas Tree Napkin.  You can place it on a plate, or you can infold slightly, and prop it upright (easier said than done of course).

  2. Super easy....in the past I've done an elf boot. This is much easier and looks great....even with green and red plaid napkins. So festive. GREAT!!!

  3. I found that if I folded them it was too small for the table, so I just didnt fold them and used the ply layers and it turned out great, instead of a mini bauble I used scatter jewels which you put on the table! Loved this idea!!! Merry christmas!
